I started my business in 2000 with a pickup truck, a small flat trailer, and two guys. In the early years, I was doing the hands-on work during the day, then transitioning into sales and design consulting at night, and finishing estimates late into the evenings and weekends. I was single at the time and working nonstop to build the company the right way.

In 2006, I met my future wife, Tracy. Thanks to God, she helped get me in line, brought balance to the chaos, and encouraged me to delegate and grow the business at a steady, scalable pace. We married in 2008, and later had twins, Nathan and Ashley — which made the journey even more adventurous and definitely more challenging in the best ways.

Over the years, we’ve worked through a lot as a business: the great recession, buying a small farm in 2015, and the ups and downs of COVID. We’ve scaled up and scaled down through inflationary challenges as well, adjusting our team from around 60 employees down to about 40, and streamlining our process to focus on our niche in the design-build landscape space.

Today, we focus primarily on residential design-build landscaping, and we also provide commercial snow removal in the winter. That helps keep our staff employed year-round while we continue planning, designing, and scheduling for the spring and summer seasons ahead.
